Welcome to the website of the Oxford Guild of Musicians.                                                           

We are an examining body which seeks to promote music through performance, composition, musicological and historical study to the highest levels of proficiency and scholarship.

Our examinations take into account that younger people or those taking up music seriously later in life sometimes struggle to find public recognition for their endeavours. We are also aware that many examining bodies provide only for the performing musician: we hope to cater for the musicologist/historian and composer in addition.

We hope that you will browse through our pages and possibly be inspired to take up some aspect of music seriously, helping to promote that study and fellowship which music and musicians rightly deserve.
